Le Centre des Politiques de la Terre a concr\u00e9tis\u00e9 trois ann\u00e9es de dialogues interdisciplinaires (2019-2022) autour des enjeux scientifiques et politiques soulev\u00e9s par divers diagnostics sur l\u2019\u00e9tat de la Terre et d’exp\u00e9rimentations avec de nouvelles mani\u00e8res de conna\u00eetre et de gouverner ces ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes socio-environnementaux – tout en s\u2019inscrivant dans une relation transform\u00e9e entre science et soci\u00e9t\u00e9 – par un texte de positionnement strat\u00e9gique d\u00e9finissant son agenda de recherche<\/strong> pour les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir.<\/p>\n

Des g\u00e9osyst\u00e8mes aux socio-g\u00e9osyst\u00e8mes<\/h4>\n

Les volcans, les failles, les dunes, les lacs, les oc\u00e9ans, les aquif\u00e8res, le permafrost, les rivi\u00e8res et leurs bassins versants sont des objets hybrides, autant naturels que sociaux. Cet axe de recherche, loin des dualismes soci\u00e9t\u00e9-nature, mobilise les progr\u00e8s inter et transdisciplinaires r\u00e9cents selon deux sous-axes : 1) connaissance de la zone critique, d\u00e9finie ici au sens large comme la zone d\u2019interaction entre les roches et l’air. C\u2019est cette zone qui abrite les organismes vivants, et qui est par endroit habit\u00e9e par des humains. Cet axe associera des r\u00e9seaux nationaux et internationaux d\u2019observations de long-terme, dont des sites urbains. 2) \u00e9tude des crises, catastrophes et risques dits naturels qui ne peuvent \u00eatre appr\u00e9hend\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re pertinente aujourd\u2019hui qu\u2019en embrassant l\u2019ensemble de la cha\u00eene des agents et des acteurs, depuis la recherche, l\u2019observation et la surveillance jusqu\u2019aux r\u00e9ponses individuelles et collectives, entre v\u00e9cu individuel, conflits d\u2019usages et de valeurs, articulation entre \u00e9chelons de gouvernance. La perspective est n\u00e9cessairement situ\u00e9e (c.\u00e0.d. ancr\u00e9e dans un territoire) mais avec l\u2019objectif de tirer des le\u00e7ons g\u00e9n\u00e9rales pour am\u00e9liorer la pr\u00e9paration aux crises multidimensionnelles \u00e0 venir.<\/p>\n

V\u00e9g\u00e9talisation et habitabilit\u00e9 des villes<\/h4>\n

Cet axe propose une approche multi-\u00e9chelles et interdisciplinaire, depuis l\u2019adaptation aux conditions urbaines des m\u00e9canismes mol\u00e9culaires et physiologiques de la photosynth\u00e8se jusqu’aux composantes \u00e9cologiques des r\u00e9seaux d’interactions entre les communaut\u00e9s v\u00e9g\u00e9tales et les autres niveaux de biodiversit\u00e9, tout en analysant les perceptions soci\u00e9tales de ces nouvelles formes de naturalisation urbaine (en lien avec l\u2019axe 4). Notre objectif est de contribuer \u00e0 d\u00e9finir la future v\u00e9g\u00e9tation des villes en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 ces d\u00e9fis.<\/p>\n

L\u2019exposome : pour une approche socio-\u00e9cologique de la sant\u00e9<\/h4>\n

Cet axe s’int\u00e9resse \u00e0 l\u2019impact des expositions humaines (de la conception \u00e0 la mort) au travers de leurs dimensions physique et chimique (en lien avec l\u2019axe 1 notamment), biologique et psychosociale sur les sant\u00e9s humaines, animales, v\u00e9g\u00e9tales ainsi que sur les cycles biog\u00e9ochimiques. Nous d\u00e9veloppons une approche int\u00e9gr\u00e9e, interdisciplinaire (incluant le concept d\u2019\u00e9co-exposome et d\u2019exposomique fonctionnelle visant \u00e0 la caract\u00e9risation des m\u00e9canismes d\u2019action des \u201cstresseurs\u201d de l\u2019exposome) et holistique au niveau des territoires ; un enjeu majeur est la caract\u00e9risation et la mod\u00e9lisation des exposomes sp\u00e9cifiques qui peuvent \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9s dans leur dimension territoriale (ex. campus Anthropoc\u00e8ne de Martinique en avril 2024) ou individuelle (avec des trajectoires de vie sp\u00e9cifiques incluant leurs dimensions sociales (en lien avec l\u2019axe 4).<\/p>\n

Les leviers de la transformation socio-\u00e9cologique des territoires<\/h4>\n

Cet axe se centrent sur les conditions cl\u00e9s de changement \u00e0 la fois mat\u00e9riels (d\u2019occupation des sols, de pratiques de gestion de l\u2019environnement,\u2026) et sociaux (d\u2019action collective et publique, de mod\u00e8le \u00e9conomique) qui favorisent, voire restaurent, l\u2019habitabilit\u00e9 des territoires, en particulier \u00e0 titre exp\u00e9rimental en travaillant, plus particuli\u00e8rement, dans les zones critiques (en lien avec l\u2019axe 1) ou les villes (en lien avec l\u2019axe 3). Ce faisant, nous identifierons des leviers de transformation, tels que les actions publiques et collectives de maintien de la biodiversit\u00e9 (parcs, v\u00e9g\u00e9talisation), de transition bas-carbone (parcs \u00e9oliens, photovolta\u00efques) ou encore techniques de gestion agricole (agriculture biologique, agro\u00e9cologie). La d\u00e9marche interdisciplinaire met l\u2019accent sur la probl\u00e9matisation des disputes, voire des conflits sociaux, entourant les processus de transformation ; l\u2019impact des \u00e9chelles spatiales et temporelles de transformation sur les modes de gouvernance et sur la justice sociale ; et le r\u00f4le des scientifiques et de la qualit\u00e9 de leurs relations avec la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et les pouvoirs publics comme leviers de changement.<\/p>\n

La r\u00e9volution des donn\u00e9es hybrides<\/em> concerne la place des donn\u00e9es produites par la recherche sur la crise sociale et environnementale ainsi que leur traduction politique, depuis leur collecte jusqu\u2019\u00e0 leur mise en forme.\u00a0<\/p>\n

L’enjeu des repr\u00e9sentions<\/em> vise \u00e0 explorer les repr\u00e9sentations de la Terre, en lien avec les pratiques scientifiques et plus largement sociales.<\/p>\n

L’action publique et collective renouvel\u00e9e par l’urgence environnementale<\/em> questionne la mise en politique de l\u2019environnement et des d\u00e9bats qui concernent sa transformation \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9chelles.<\/p>\n

Une conception de la sant\u00e9 dans l’Anthropoc\u00e8ne <\/em>consiste \u00e0 penser ensemble sant\u00e9 humaine, sant\u00e9 animale et \u00e9tat de la plan\u00e8te, dans la lign\u00e9e de nouvelles approches syst\u00e9miques comme One Health <\/i>ou la sant\u00e9 plan\u00e9taire.<\/p>\n

2019\/2022<\/h6>\n

Territoires en mouvement<\/em> invitait \u00e0 travailler sur des repr\u00e9sentations des territoires int\u00e9grant autant des dynamiques environnementales et \u00e9cologiques, que sociales et politiques & qu\u2019\u00e9conomiques. Les diff\u00e9rentes approches des territoires ainsi que les croisements de donn\u00e9es collect\u00e9es \u00e0 partir de l\u2019instrumentation de territoires par \u201ccompartiments\u201d (eaux, sols, air, biodiversit\u00e9, soci\u00e9t\u00e9) permettent de mieux \u00e9lucider les processus qui les relient.<\/p>\n

Vivants et soci\u00e9t\u00e9s<\/em> interrogerait les repr\u00e9sentations et les pratiques relatives au Vivant – loin du Grand Partage entre Nature et Cultures, d\u2019un naturalisme tenant \u00e0 distance la vie des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s des vies de la nature. Il s\u2019agissait alors de contribuer \u00e0 la red\u00e9finition des cohabitations entre les \u00eatres vivants (humain.e.s et non-humain.e.s) dans une optique de r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la crise \u00e9cologique et climatique.<\/p>\n

Sant\u00e9 plan\u00e9taire<\/em> \u00e9tudiait les impacts sanitaires des grands bouleversements environnementaux (malnutrition cons\u00e9cutive aux s\u00e9cheresses ou inondations, contaminations chimiques, nouvelles maladies infectieuses, stress li\u00e9 \u00e0 des \u00e9v\u00e8nements extr\u00eames, etc.) avec une attention particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019analyse des diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9ponses techniques et politiques apport\u00e9es par acteurs impliqu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Instabilit\u00e9s et catastrophes<\/em> s’int\u00e9ressait aux mani\u00e8res dont l\u2019impact des activit\u00e9s humaines sur la Terre \u00ab\u00a0mena\u00e7ait\u00a0\u00bb de bouleverser les \u00e9quilibres environnementaux, sociaux et politiques g\u00e9n\u00e9rant ainsi des probl\u00e8mes de plus en plus complexes, des instabilit\u00e9s de diff\u00e9rentes natures et appelant, d\u00e8s lors, \u00e0 la formulation de solutions multidimensionnelles in\u00e9dites.<\/p>\n

L’axe transversal Science et soci\u00e9t\u00e9<\/em> alliait ces angles et terrains de recherche. Il visait \u00e0 \u00e9tablir de nouvelles connaissances entre sciences & citoyen.ne.s \u00e0 partir des travaux r\u00e9alis\u00e9s au sein des quatre axes de recherche d\u00e9crit ci-dessus, \u00e0 inciter les diff\u00e9rents chercheur.se.s \u00e0 porter un regard r\u00e9flexif sur leurs travaux et \u00e0 contribuer \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux enjeux d\u00e9mocratiques et politiques majeurs \u00e0 savoir, faire \u00e9merger et promouvoir de nouvelles pratiques collaboratives entre chercheur.se.s et citoyen.ne.s (secteurs associatifs et priv\u00e9s, particuliers, artistes, etc.).<\/p>\n
