This course invites Master\u2019s and PhD students to critically explore how LLMs (Large Language Models) are reshaping academic writing, judgment and critical thinking.<\/p>\n<p>The course follows a seminar format with in-depth reading of texts related to the future of writing and related skills in the light of LLMs. In this course, we not only cover past works from the likes of Foucault, Flusser, and others, but also contemporary work in AI Ethics, which address the impact of LLM assistance on the skills and capacities needed to write well \u2013 recent topics of how LLMs influence epistemic agency, critical thinking, and reasoning.<\/p>\n<h4>Application Process:<\/h4>\n<p>-\u2192 Register on AMETHIS AND register via the <a href=\"https:\/\/mobility.univie.ac.at\/mobility\/llm-futurewriting-en\">Registration form<\/a> by 28 Sep.<br \/>-\u2192 After application on the registration form, students must complete their course registration until 30 Sep in <a href=\"https:\/\/ufind.univie.ac.at\/en\/course.html?lv=180166&amp;semester=2026W\">U:Find<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Registration takes place on a first-come-first-served basis.
