Discover on playback the Masterclass in History with Carlo Ginzburg that took place on December 14th at the Musée Carnvalet-Histoire de Paris. An exceptional event, co-organised by the Laboratoire Identités Cultures et Territoires – Les Europes dans le Monde (ICT) of Université Paris Cité and the Circle U.European university alliance.
Circle U.brings together Université Paris Cité, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, King’s College, London, UCLouvain, University of Oslo, Aarhus University, University of Belgrade, University of Pisa and University of Vienna.

Students, academia and the general public had the opportunity to delve into the fascinating story of Carlo Ginzburg his career, commitments and encounters. Carlo Ginzburg, Doctor in philosophy from the University of Pisa, professor of modern history at the University of Bologna, then at the University of California at Los Angeles and the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Pisa. Carlo Ginzburg has been a historian of 16th-century Italy, of witchcraft, of the imaginary and discourse, of art and images, co-founder of microstoria and theorist of traces and signs.
During this 2nd masterclass, Emmanuel Laurentin, journalist at France Culture, Alexandre Rios-Bordes, lecturer at Université Paris Cité, Simona Cerutti, EHESS, École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences) and Alice Rio, King’s College, London explored his incredible trajectory with him.
