Each semester comprises several <strong>blocks<\/strong>, and each block comprises several courses (called \u00ab\u00a0<strong>UE<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">The overall master&rsquo;s grade is the average of the four Master&rsquo;s semesters<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">There is no compensation between semesters, each semester must be validated<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">There is no compensation between blocks, each block must be validated<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">A course (= one UE) is validated iff the grade is \u2265 10<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Within a block, the grades can compensate each other, which entails that a block can be sometimes validated even though some of its UEs are not. More precisely:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">a block is validated iff the weighted average of its UEs is \u2265 10, and each UE&rsquo;s grade is \u2265 7\/20<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>NB:<\/strong>\u00a0the grade for a block, or a semester is the average of the grades for the relevant courses, weighted by their ECTS credits. Credits for each course can be found within the \u00a0\u00ab\u00a0structure\u00a0\u00bb for each \u00ab\u00a0parcours\u00a0\u00bb:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vTDMXmc3rTed6G91XL_IUgHBUGA20n603s9nkGuuq3m5NU27wnALueuQ-MCLH7irpkgTpoEvoR_avmy\/pubhtml#\">Computational Linguistics<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cloud.u-paris.fr\/s\/LY5B3RGn2LeyiL6\">TELPh<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vSxMjSn9OnmMffnOeytneuoK3edt7DCrVMtXv0yeIkNrILLjMyhOjKNdGhgLRmQzA\/pub\">IFLE<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vT_D4IEQdZqFzdw2mpE7Wnke7uAtlUFknDVhhtRzWgLtGvhfptfTJR4Irb990_bXQ\/pub\">LAO-IFLE<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vT_D4IEQdZqFzdw2mpE7Wnke7uAtlUFknDVhhtRzWgLtGvhfptfTJR4Irb990_bXQ\/pub\">LOGOS<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Some courses have a \u00ab\u00a0<strong>second chance<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb exam (or \u00ab\u00a0<strong>second session<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0). To find out which, check the table for your program <a href=\"https:\/\/u-paris.fr\/linguistique\/mcc\/\">here<\/a> (tab \u00ab\u00a0maquette\u00a0\u00bb, column \u00ab\u00a02nde chance int\u00e9gr\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb)<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\"><strong>IMPORTANT: <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\">If a block is not validated at the first session, then for the UEs it contains, the grades that are below 10\/20 are not kept for the second session. The student must pass the second chance exam in this case.<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">The second session grade\u00a0<em>replace<\/em> any grade previously obtained for the same UE, irrespective of whether it is better or worse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Example<\/strong>: a student in M1 TELPh receives at the first session the following grades:\n<ul>\n<li>11 in \u00ab\u00a0phonetics\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<li>8 in \u00ab\u00a0morphology\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<li>9 in \u00ab\u00a0syntax\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<li>9 in \u00ab\u00a0semantics\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<li>10 in \u00ab\u00a0linguistic typology\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<li>=&gt; they must go to the second chance exam in \u00ab\u00a0morphology\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0syntax\u00a0\u00bb, and \u00ab\u00a0semantics\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If the M1 year is validated, admission to the M2 year is guaranteed.<\/li>\n<li>If the year is not validated (M1 or M2), <strong>the student may repeat the year, subject to authorization by the jury<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>The validated status of block and UE is transferred throughout the years<\/li>\n<li>But NB: for the UE that were neither directly validated nor compensated within their block, the grades are not transferred to the following year.<\/li>\n<li>Example:\n<ul>\n<li>Suppose that at the end of the year (after the second session) a student receives the same grades above. The block is not validated.<\/li>\n<li>If the student repeats the year, they have to take again \u00ab\u00a0morphology\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0syntax\u00a0\u00bb, and \u00ab\u00a0semantics\u00a0\u00bb. The grades from the previous year are erased. la note globale:<\/p><ul><li class=\"level1\"><div class=\"li\">Calcul de la note globale du dipl\u00f4me avec la moyenne des quatre semestres de Master<\/div><\/li><li class=\"level1\"><div class=\"li\">Pas de compensation entre les semestres, chaque semestre doit \u00eatre valid\u00e9<\/div><\/li><li class=\"level1\"><div class=\"li\">Pas de compensation entre les UE, chaque UE doit \u00eatre valid\u00e9e<\/div><\/li><li>Compensation entre les cours (ECUE) d'une m\u00eame UE, modulo la note plancher de 7\/20<ul><li class=\"level1\"><div class=\"li\">c'est-\u00e0-dire qu'une UE est valid\u00e9e si la moyenne \u00e0 l'UE est \u2265 10, et que chaque note d'ECUE est \u2265 7\/20.<\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li class=\"level1\"><div class=\"li\">Moyennes calcul\u00e9es avec les
