Language Syntax<\/h4>\r\nThis course is an introduction to syntactic theory and analysis. After defining syntax, its objects and its goals, the basic concepts of formal syntax will be presented and put into practice (lexical categories, constituency, rewriting rules...).Finally the X-bar Theory will be introduced.\r\n\r\nRecommended reading:\u00a0 M\u00fcller, S. Language Semantics and Pragmatics<\/h4>\r\nThis course offers an introduction to the study of semantics and pragmatics across languages, and covers a broad range of topics and issues, including e.g. quantification, tense-aspect, modality, implicatures and entailments, the semantics\/pragmatics interface, and discourse coherence\/structure.\r\n\r\nRecommended reading: Paul Kroeger 2022.
