In July 2026, the Faculty of Medicine at Université Paris Cité will host two outstanding summer schools. One dives into digital innovations and artificial intelligence applied to medicine, while the other offers an immersive introduction to clinical practice through simulation workshops and bedside teaching. Two complementary experiences shaping the future of healthcare.

Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation in Medicine

From 6 to 17 July 2026, Université Paris Cité is offering a two-week intensive summer school dedicated to artificial intelligence in healthcare. The program combines morning lectures with afternoon hands-on workshops, enabling participants to understand and apply digital tools that are transforming modern medicine.

The training is structured around three main modules:

  • Foundations of AI in medicine (machine learning, digital twins, telemedicine, wearable devices, AI-powered drug discovery);

  • Clinical applications across specialties (emergency medicine, radiology, surgery, pediatrics, transplantation, and more);

  • Ethics, data protection, and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on both European and American contexts.

Led by experts from the Faculty of Medicine and the AP-HP hospital network, this summer school is open to medical students, physicians, engineers, data scientists, and researchers seeking an interdisciplinary approach. Participants will gain practical skills, expand their professional networks, and receive a certificate from Université Paris Cité.

Introduction to Clinical Medicine

In parallel, the Faculty of Medicine will run a second program, the “Introduction to Clinical Medicine” Summer School, also from 6 to 17 July 2026. This immersive course draws on the clinical expertise of faculty members and the resources of the AP-HP hospital network to provide high-impact, hands-on training.

The program is built around two main modules:

  • Foundations of clinical medicine, with training in core physical examination skills and essential procedures (suturing, lumbar puncture, intubation, and more), complemented by small-group hospital placements in teaching wards;

  • Emergency care procedures, including the management of hemorrhages, cardiac arrest, unexpected deliveries, and airway obstruction. Participants will also earn an official Basic Life Support (BLS – AFGSU level 2) certification.

This summer school is primarily designed for undergraduate medical students who wish to strengthen their clinical skills in an interactive and demanding learning environment. As with the AI program, participants will earn a certificate from Université Paris Cité and ECTS credits.
