Les \u00e9quipes d\u00e9canales de la Facult\u00e9 Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s & Humanit\u00e9s\u00a0et de la Facult\u00e9 des Sciences r\u00e9affirment\u00a0leur\u00a0soutien plein et entier aux coll\u00e8gues historien.nes sp\u00e9cialistes des mondes juifs\u00a0vis\u00e9.es par des campagnes de harc\u00e8lement et de calomnie, en raison de leur choix de se retirer d\u2019un colloque accueilli par le Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art et d\u2019Histoire du Juda\u00efsme\u00a0apr\u00e8s en avoir simplement inform\u00e9 les organisateurs\u00a0et organisatrices. Ces coll\u00e8gues n\u2019ont fait qu\u2019exercer leur libert\u00e9 acad\u00e9mique, dans le cadre l\u00e9gal d\u00e9fini par le Code de l\u2019\u00e9ducation. Ce dernier accorde aux universitaires la jouissance d\u2019une pleine \u00ab ind\u00e9pendance et d’une enti\u00e8re libert\u00e9 d’expression dans l’exercice de leurs fonctions d’enseignement et de leurs activit\u00e9s de recherche \u00bb (article L952-2).\u00a0<\/p>\n
Les sciences humaines et sociales, par leur nature m\u00eame, sont \u00e9minemment politiques au sens noble du terme : elles analysent, interrogent et critiquent le monde social. C’est l’id\u00e9e m\u00eame de l’esprit critique que nous avons la mission d\u2019entretenir aupr\u00e8s de nos \u00e9tudiants et de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 dans son ensemble.\u00a0<\/p>\n
La libert\u00e9 d’expression\u00a0dans le respect d’autrui, la libert\u00e9 de participer ou non \u00e0 un \u00e9v\u00e8nement scientifique, de figurer ou non dans un ouvrage collectif ne devrait jamais \u00eatre le pr\u00e9texte pour une mise au pilori de nos pairs. Le fait de voir des universitaires d\u00e9nonc\u00e9s publiquement pour de tels choix relevant de leur libert\u00e9 acad\u00e9mique\u00a0est \u00e9minemment pr\u00e9occupant, surtout de la part d’institutions publiques, de personnalit\u00e9s politiques, de coll\u00e8gues universitaires. Ces pratiques nourrissent le climat de suspicion et d’hostilit\u00e9 contre les Universit\u00e9s, et ne font qu\u2019aggraver dangereusement la polarisation des\u00a0d\u00e9bats\u00a0et les divisions.<\/p>\n
