Why develop a Global Health Knowledge Hub? How can universities expand their curricula to include additional disciplines related to Global Health? On the occasion of the Circle U. National Conference in Brussels, UCLouvain will host a workshop organised by the Circle U. Global Health Knowledge Hub and address these questions as well as the role of Global Health in European universities.
Circle U. European University Alliance brings together Université Paris Cité, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, King’s College, London, UCLouvain, University of Oslo, Aarhus University, University of Belgrade, Université of Pisa and Universität Wien
As Circle U. approaches the end of its pilot phase, the Global Health Knowledge Hub is taking the opportunity to reflect on its achievements over the past three years. The aim of the workshop is to explore the role of universities in the global health community, which has been a core issue for the Knowledge Hub since its inception.
Target audience
The workshop is open to the Circle U. community and to the general public.
Registration is not required.
Objectives
The Global Health Knowledge Hub will address the topics outlined below:
- The role of the Knowledge Hub in Global Health
- The link of Global Health with other academic disciplines
- Teaching Global Health
- Expanding curricula to include more Global Health subjects
The Workshop will feature not only Global Health Academic Chairs from the Knowledge Hub, but also international academics as well as policy-makers involved in the larger global health community.
