On June 8, 2026 Université Paris Cité welcomed a delegation of Indian institutions during a visit organized by UDICE, the association of French research-intensive universities of which Université Paris Cité is a member.

Hosted by Édouard Kaminski, President of Université Paris Cité, the delegation attended presentations by Madhav R. Sulphule, First Secretary of the Indian Embassy in France; Audelin Chappuis, Deputy Director for Higher Education and Research at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs; and Catherine Saracco, Secretary-General of UDICE.
The event, held at Université Paris Cité, provided an opportunity to present UDICE, the IIT and IISc network, as well as the French and Indian higher education and research systems. The programme also featured presentations from Professor Amit Prashant, Dean of External Relations at IIT Gandhinagar; Philippe Maurin, Attaché for Scientific and Academic Cooperation at the French Embassy in India; and Louis Avigdor, Deputy Director within the Europe and International Research Cooperation Directorate of the CNRS. The meeting provided a valuable forum for dialogue and reaffirmed the shared commitment to strengthening academic and scientific partnerships between France and India in support of innovation.
