Each year, the Circle U. European alliance, of which Université Paris Cité is a member, launches a call for projects as part of its seed funding programme. Do you have a project that aims to strenghten international collaboration and drive bottom-up initiatives? Submit your project before the 1st of October 2025!

What is Circle U. seed funding scheme?
Circle U. the European Alliance supports projects encouraging inter-university collaboration that are in line with the Circle U. vision through the seed funding programme.
The aim of this call for proposals is to encourage the emergence of new initiatives such as: the organisation of cultural and/or educational activities within the alliance, the development of joint course programmes, summer schools, workshops, research activities, the creation of communication and dissemination tools for Circle U..
The projects selected must start on 1 January and may be funded up to:
– 10,000€ for a project submitted by teacher-researchers and administrative staff
– 5,000€ for a project submitted by students

What are the criteria?
Projects must involve at least 2 other Circle U. member universities. If you are looking for partners, the Circle U. team at the Université Paris Cité can help you with find partners. Don’t hesitate to contact them!
In addition to working with several universities in the Circle U. European alliance, projects will be judged on:
– their academic quality
– their societal and/or educational impact
– the benefits they can bring to students
– the extent to which diversity and inclusiveness criteria are taken into account
– the interdisciplinary nature of the subjects addressed
How can I apply?
You can submit your application for the Circle U. seed funding programme online before 1 October 2025!
If your project is selected, its administrative and financial management will be handled by the UPCité financial centre of your affiliated structure (UFR/UMR/department). Please inform your superiors of the submission of this project, as well as your financial managers.
